The Tall Book of Make-Believe
The Tall Book of Make-Believe is the most beloved book from MY childhood, a collection of wonderfully illustrated and written children's stories and poems. It's out of print, and a used copy costs near $300 - so I'm hoping and praying that they'll reprint it while our little ones can love it too. The Moon Song by Mildred Plew Meigs still rings in my head regularly, and Garth Williams' illustrations for it are perfect. A lot of great themes and interesting stories (including a homesick poltergeist) in one lovely little package. SO REPRINT IT, YOU FOOLS!

I have vague memories of this one, but can't fully place it. Ebay has a couple of copies in the mid $100s, but that's still pretty steep for me. I agree...let's get this one reprinted. :)
